High-Efficiency Rebate Program

Eligibility

Atmos Energy's Missouri customers who are served under either the company's Residential Firm Service Rate or the Small General Service Rate may be eligible to receive a one-time rebate from Atmos Energy to replace their existing heating system. A customer must purchase and install a qualified ENERGY STAR® high-efficiency natural gas heating system and meet other conditions. This rebate does not apply to construction of new residential housing or commercial buildings.

Rebates are available for the following eligible equipment:

  • Programmable thermostat – a rebate of twenty-five dollars ($25) for a programmable thermostat purchased individually or in conjunction with an Energy Star® rated space heating system.
  • Energy Star® rated natural gas furnace or boiler – a rebate of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) for the purchase and installation.
  • Energy Star® rated combination space heating and water heating systems – a rebate of four hundred and fifty dollars ($450) for the purchase of such system.
  • Energy Star® rated tank water heating system – a rebate of fifty dollars ($50) for the purchase and installation of a tank water heating system.
  • Energy Star® rated tankless water heating system – a rebate of two hundred dollars ($200) for the purchase and installation of a tankless water heating system.

Program Guidelines

Our Missouri energy conservation program rebates are being offered on a limited basis, while funds are available, for eligible equipment purchased and installed during the program year. The program operated on a recurring annual cycle, beginning July 1 and concluding June 30 the following year.

To receive your rebate you must:

  • be an Atmos Energy customer located in Missouri and served under either the company's Residential Firm Service Rate or the company's Small Firm General Service Rate;
  • purchase and install (within the program availability dates) eligible equipment in the building that is served by Atmos Energy under the qualified rate; and
  • properly complete and submit to our program administrator, Energy Federation Incorporated, EFI, a High-Efficiency Rebate Program Application Form (.pdf) and a High-Efficiency Rebate Program Installation Verification Form (.pdf).

Incomplete rebate applications may delay or disqualify your rebate. Please keep a copy of the completed forms and all attachments for your records.

DO NOT SEND THE REBATE APPLICATION OR INSTALLATION VERIFICATION FORMS WITH YOUR ATMOS ENERGY BILL PAYMENT.

Upon receiving both a properly completed High-Efficiency Rebate Program Application Form and a properly completed High-Efficiency Rebate Program Installation Verification Form, EFI will issue a check to the program participant within 8 to 10 weeks.

  • Missouri High-Efficiency Rebate Application Forms, High-Efficiency Rebate Program Installation Verification Forms and lists of known local ENERGY STAR retailers are available at all of Atmos Energy's Missouri offices as well as on this site or by calling the program administrator, EFI, at 1-877-333-9965.
  • You will need the following information to correctly complete the rebate form: your Atmos Energy account number, one of your recent Atmos Energy utility bills, a dated purchase receipt for the eligible equipment and a proof of installation, (High-Efficiency Rebate Program Installation Verification Form).
  • By applying for this rebate, you agree to allow Atmos Energy to verify the installation of any equipment covered under this program, if necessary.
