From Natural Gas to Handmade Mats: Employees Assist Dallas Nonprofit with Holiday Project

For many, fall marks the start of the season of giving. Atmos Energy employees recently paired up with the Momentous Institute in Dallas to assist with the organization’s annual Parent Center project for the holidays. The Momentous Institute is a primary supplier of education and therapeutic services, impacting 6,000 kids and family members each year.

During the October 13 weekend, the Special Olympics of Texas hosted their 17th Annual Fall Classic in Bryan, Texas. Atmos Energy employees volunteered their time to help athletes compete in the bocce ball tournament. The company’s relationship with both the Special Olympics and the athletes span more than a decade.

On Aug. 21,  Atmos Energy donated a 19-passenger Mobile Assistance Office to the Adams, Jefferson, Franklin and Claiborne County (AJFC) Community Action Agency. The Wi-Fi- ready bus has two work stations, storage cabinets and a sitting area.
