Since 2010, the River Birch waste management facility near New Orleans has been capturing emissions from 4,500 tons of daily garbage and processing it into renewable natural gas. The gas is injected into Atmos Energy’s intrastate pipeline and enters the company’s distribution system.

Innovation: Atmos Energy uses new technology to electronically collect construction data

Construction personnel have begun using LocusMap, a software program that allows installation crews to electronically capture construction data in the field while work is being performed, that is reviewed and approved by a work reviewer using a tool on the internet.
