Atmos Energy employees throughout the D-FW metroplex participated in a "Week of Giving" to benefit both The Salvation Army and United Way.

Employees raised a total of $774,056 for both organizations.

“We have the best of all worlds this year,” said President and CEO Mike Haefner. “United Way makes a difference through the funding of so many organizations. The Salvation Army’s focus on addiction, homelessness and poverty allows that great organization to help customers and residents in every zip code Atmos Energy serves. And our company matches every employee donation dollar for dollar.”

“Giving back to the 1,500 communities we serve in eight states is part of Atmos Energy’s DNA,” added Utility Operations Senior Vice President David Park. “Our spirit of giving is unique. We are investing in our communities from the ground up.”

Events included a putt-putt golf tournament, a cake walk, a Bingo and Texas Hold ’Em Tournament, and the ever-popular employee appreciation carnival balloons. Fundraising campaigns continue through Atmos Energy's six divisions and the Customer Support Center.
