The following information and steps will help you file a claim with Atmos Energy for loss of property, business interruption, or personal injury.


What Can Be Eligible for Reimbursement? 

If you think Atmos Energy is responsible for damage or injury, you may submit a property damage or personal injury claim with supporting documentation.

Though infrequent, there may be times when the Company needs to temporarily discontinue natural gas service to customers for safety reasons. If service is discontinued to your business and you experience a revenue loss, you may file a claim for business interruption.


What’s Typically Not Eligible for Reimbursement?

Not every loss qualifies as a claim that’s reimbursable by Atmos Energy. Damages caused by Acts of God or third-parties are generally not eligible for reimbursement. In addition, certain losses are ineligible because they are governed by laws, statutes, regulations or tariffs. Click here to find tariffs for the states in which we operate.

Filing a Claim

1. Complete a claim form.

2. After you complete the form and print, each claimant will need to sign and date the form.

3. Submit the claim form with the necessary documents to support your claim. There are two ways to submit your claim:

Processing a Claim

When your claim is received by Atmos Energy, one of our licensed adjusters will reach out to you by phone or email. Our adjuster will provide their contact information and let you know if any additional documentation is needed to process your claim.
