Our Communities
At Atmos Energy, safety drives everything we do. Our work educating customers and partnering with neighbors on gas safety and safe digging never stops. Additionally, through our commitment to Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities, Atmos Energy donated more than $21 million in fiscal year 2025 to support hundreds of nonprofit organizations in 1,400 communities we serve. Atmos Energy also partners with local agencies to host energy assistance “blitz” events that provide access to energy assistance funding. In 2025, through intentional outreach, education, and communication with community action agencies, nonprofits, and customers, Atmos Energy helped approximately 56,000 households gain access to nearly $21 million through LIHEAP, Sharing the Warmth, and other energy assistance programs.
Our People
From their first day on the job, our employees learn and live the principles of AtmoSpirit: Inspire Trust, Be at Your Best, Bring Out the Best in Others, Make a Difference, and Focus on the Future. Atmos Energy strives for a workforce that reflects the 1,400 unique communities we serve: in calendar year 2025, over 60 percent of Atmos Energy new hires were minority and women, and people who retired from the company had an average service tenure of nearly 35 years.
Our Systems and Operations
With AtmoSpirit – our deeply rooted safety culture – as the foundation, we integrated our safety management system under one umbrella called ACTS, which includes pipeline safety, storage safety, contractor safety management, physical security, cybersecurity, and environmental management. The report covers continuous improvements in each of these areas. For example, Atmos Energy is working towards a goal to reduce methane emissions from our natural gas distribution system mains and services by 50 percent from 2017 to 2035; we have achieved an approximate 25 percent reduction as of Dec. 31, 2024.

Our governance structure provides accountability to pursue our Vision to be the safest provider of natural gas services. Our active employees complete our Code of Conduct Training annually, keeping our Vision in sharp focus.
