The Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Foundation is a beacon of hope, caring, and community support in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Standing on the principles of compassion and dedication, this Foundation strives to be a pillar of strength in the heart of Natchitoches. Its mission is to enhance the health and well-being of its community, ensuring that every individual has access to top-tier medical care and support when they need it the most. The foundation’s efforts extend far beyond hospital walls, reaching into the lives of families, neighbors, and friends, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness. 

The Natchitoches Regional Medical Center Foundation was founded in 1987, guided by a vision of a healthier and happier future for all in its wonderful community. Operating in conjunction with Natchitoches Regional Medical Center, the foundation began to work with local partners, donors, and healthcare professionals creating a full circle of collaboration to provide the most meaningful impact possible. By nurturing a culture of philanthropy, it has helped pave the way for advancements in healthcare services, cutting-edge medical technologies, and vital community outreach programs. From the time of its inception, the daily goal continues to be built on delivering a story of healing, hope, and boundless possibilities to Natchitoches Parish.  

Acting as a bridge between the Medical Center and the community, the Foundation channels support, resources, and expertise to create a healthcare environment that is responsive to the needs of the people it serves. Playing this crucial role, it has been able to accomplish these directives through several key activities and initiatives, including: 

• Steel Magnolia Run – raising funds to help provide access to excellent cancer care in its local Cancer Center. 

• Halloween Golf Classic – an annual event with over 20 teams participating each year. 

• Tapped Tober – a full day event that features live music, big screen football, kids’ zone, and more. 

• Annual Gala – more than 400 members honored 10 cancer survivors as “All-Stars” at this year’s 2023 “Let’s Play Ball” Annual Gala.  

• iGive Associates Campaign – this ongoing campaign helps fund wellness grants to local organizations, scholarships to those pursuing nursing, and support in upgrading equipment and services. 

Recent successes with these initiatives include opening a brand-new Breast Health Center with the latest in 3D digital mammography, and providing state-of-the-art monitoring software and equipment to help the foundation’s labor and delivery nurses give the best care possible to moms and babies. Currently, it is raising funds for a PET Scanner, Bell Tower and Serenity Garden. All Foundation activities are dedicated to enhancing healthcare services, promoting wellness and fostering a healthier community overall. 

Since 2017, through our Fueling Safe and Thriving Communities initiative, Atmos Energy has supported NRMC Foundation events. We believe in showing respect to our hometown heroes and are grateful for the NRMC Foundation’s efforts to better the health of the Natchitoches community. Most recently, a “team” of Atmos employees attended the 2023 Annual Gala to support the foundation’s community “All Stars.” The Atmos Energy team participated in an evening of friendly competition and made donations to the Cancer Center campaign, helping raise money for a new PET Scanner and the NRMC Cancer Center Project.
