March 20, 2026

11:15 p.m.

Atmos Energy technicians continue to work with the Lake Dallas Fire Department to respond to the incident that occurred Thursday night on Moseley Street in Lake Dallas, Texas.

Natural gas service remains turned off for a number of customers, and we are working diligently to safely restore this service.

The service restoration process includes three phases--a turn-off phase, a testing phase, and a turn-on phase. Today, we completed the turn-off phase, which is a manual process  requiring a technician to work at each meter. We have begun the testing phase.

Because restoring service is a manual process that takes time, we have deployed additional resources.  Atmos Energy is committed to providing continuous updates and will provide another update on March 21 at 9:00 a.m. on the status of service restoration.

In cooperation with the Lake Dallas Fire Department, we have lifted the evacuations for most of impacted customers and stand ready to assist the limited number of remaining evacuated customers to access their homes as needs arise.  Atmos Energy is contacting impacted customers proactively, however if Lake Dallas customers want to contact us directly, they can reach the company through a dedicated Lake Dallas line at 800.249.9406 with any questions or concerns.

Residents will continue to see our technicians in the area throughout the weekend as investigative and related activities continue to restore natural gas service.

We would like to thank our customers for their patience and cooperation as we work to restore service as safely and efficiently as possible.

If you suspect a natural gas leak, leave the area immediately! From a safe distance call 911 and Atmos Energy's 24-hour toll-free emergency number at 866.322.8667.
